I’m Denisa Tova.
Beyond YOUR Bar began as a tribute to my son Elias, a U.S. Navy veteran and the most curious and beautiful soul. After I lost him, I wanted to make room for the kind of conversations he would have loved: curious, honest, and unhurried.
I funded the show myself and built it one conversation at a time. Five seasons and more than 150 episodes later, I have sat down with actors, musicians, athletes, authors, founders, and public figures.
They come on expecting an interview. What happens is a conversation. There is time to finish a thought, tell the story behind the story, and be seen as a person instead of a headline.
No chasing headlines. No rushing toward the next question. No agenda beyond listening well.
The title comes from what I believe: the only bar worth measuring against is the one you set for yourself. This show is about the limits people outgrow, the labels they leave behind, and the human being underneath everything the public thinks it knows.

The Team
The team behind Beyond YOUR Bar Podcast.
Every guest is supported from the moment they enter our private virtual studio. It feels relaxed and familiar, but it is much more than an ordinary Zoom call.
Kat handles the scheduling and makes sure guests know where to be and when. On recording day, Michael and the production team are already in the studio waiting for them. They check the guest’s camera, sound, lighting, connection, and seating angle. They help with anything that needs adjusting, explain how the conversation will flow, and make sure the guest feels comfortable before Denisa joins.
The production team stays throughout the entire conversation, quietly managing everything behind the scenes so the guest can forget about the technology and simply be present.
